15. Give Toys
During one of my visits to a shelter, I arrived early and stood outside in the parking area watching four boys and girls as they careened around the lot on bicycles. Grinning from ear to ear, they were having the time of their lives
Later I commented to the shelter's director on how much those kids were enjoying those bikes. She smiled knowingly and informed me that the bikes had just been dropped off the day before. A woman had discovered them in her basement. They had not been used for many years. Now they had new life and were giving much pleasure to kids who need to have fun.
